Megan Leah Gottfried (b. 1998, USA) is a jewish contemporary painter and fiber artist based in Seattle, Washington. She earned her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Penn State University and has exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States. Her recent solo exhibition venues include the Museum of Museums (WA), Woskob Gallery (PA), and Art Zowie (WA).
Megan’s work explores color theory and human perception. In addition to her studio practice, she has taught fine art at Penn State University, North Seattle College, the Freedom Education Project Puget Sound at the Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW), and Pratt Fine Arts Center. She spends many hours in her 57’ Biscayne art studio developing new work, and remains committed to making meaningful contributions to Seattle’s art community through her practice, using painting as a means of exploration, technique and healing.
